City Color Hypnotic Palette Review

Hai semuanya Hari ini saya balik lagi dengan review eyeshadow palette. Kalau Biasanya palette yang saya review di blog kebanyakan warna natural, tapi kali ini saya mau mereview eyeshadow palette yang lebih colorfull. Ini gara-gara belakangan saya sering banget lihat swatch atau review eyeshadow palette dari juvia's place yang super pigmented dan warna warni itu.  Dan akhirnya saya jadi ikutan juga ingin punya eyeshadow pelette yang warnanya lebih colorfull. Tapi karena harga eyeshadow palette juvia's place menurut saya cukup mahal, dan saya bukan tipe orang yang memakai eyeshadow setiap hari, apalagi dengan eyeshadow yang warna warni. Makanya saya mencari alternatif untuk membeli eyeshadow warna warni dengan harga yang cukup terjangkau. Akhirnya setelah browsing di beberapa online shop, pilihan saya jatuh pada City Color hypnotic palette ini.

Harga : sekitar 100-150rb rupiah

City color cosmetic merupakan produk makeup yang no animal testing/ cruelty free. 

Kemasan

City color hypnotic palette ini dikemas di kemasan Cardboard warna hitam yang glossy. Ukuran palletnya enggak terlalu besar, serta cukup ringan dan tipis sehingga menurut saya palette ini termasuk ukuran palette yang travel friendly. Saya pribadi suka banget dengan design City Color hypnotic palette ini, warna hitam dengan aksen gambar asap warna-warni yang cocok dengan tema dan judul hypnotic. 

Palette ini juga dilengkapi box luar yang berisi keterangan ingredient produk. 

Formula

Jujur waktu pertama kali membeli produk ini saya nggak mengharapkan bahwa kualitasnya bakal sebagus ini. Saya hanya tertarik dengan warnanya yang colorfull. Sebelumnya saya sudah pernah punya eyeshadow palette dari City color dan menurut saya kualitasnya biasa aja, nggak terlalu bagus juga nggak jelek banget. Tapi menurut saya formula City Color Hypnotic palette ini itu cukup bagus atau bahkan sangat bagus. Pigmentasi setiap warnanya sangat pigmented, creamy, buttery, minim Fall Out dan sangat mudah di Blend. Cukup 1 atau 2 kali ulas, kita bisa mendapatkan warna eyeshadow yang benar-benar intense dan vibrant seperti di pan.

Kalau biasanya kualitas eyeshadow di dalam palette yang harganya murah semacam ini bisa berbeda-beda setiap warna, tapi di eyeshadow palette City Color ini hampir semua kualitasnya sama. Sama-sama creamy dan pigmented. Bahkan warna yang matte pun pigmentasinya juga bagus. 

Kalau staying power, menurut saya eyeshadow palette ini sama saja dengan eyeshadow pada umumnya. Kalau menggunakan eyeshadow primer terlebih dahulu dibawahnya, eyeshadow ini bisa bertahan seharian di kelopak mata.

Warna

City color hypnotic palette ini terdiri dari 12 warna. Hampir semua warnanya memiliki hasil akhir shimmery. Kecuali warna Vapor yang memiliki hasil akhir satin, dan warna rose yang memiliki hasil akhir Matte. 

Pilihan warna di palette hypnotic ini lebih cenderung ke pilihan warna bright dan bold. Walaupun di dalam palette ini ini juga ada warna hitam dan taupe. Pilihan warnanya cenderung terang dan colorfull, tapi warna-warna di palette ini masih cukup wearable.  Range warna palette ini juga cukup lengkap, ada warna natural, gold, hijau, biru, ungu dan merah. 

Warna favorit saya di palette ini adalah unicorn, yaitu warna cranberry red. Lalu warna Venice,yaitu warna hijau turqoise. Dua warna ini cantik luar biasa.

Swatches:

Ini swatch di tangan saya, tanpa menggunakan primer. Warnanya sudah se-intens dan se-vibrant ini.

Ki-Ka: Losr,Sundaze,Venice,Bruh, Gypsy, Unicorn

Final verdict

Untuk palette dengan harga 100 ribuan, kualitas palette ini menurut saya diatas ekspetasi. Formulanya sangat bagus, dan sangat pigmented. Minus dari palette ini menurut saya hanya silver glitternya yang  sedikit menyerbuk. Kalau dari segi warna sih saya puas, semua warnanya juga bisa dipadu-padankan dengan bagus. 

Kalau ditanya saya merekomendasikan palette ini atau enggak? Saya jawab 'iya banget' . Palette ini bisa banget dicoba untuk kalian yang sedang ingin mencoba eyeshadow warna warni tapi masih enggan mengeluarkan budget lebih.

ELF Mad For Matte Eyshadow Palette Review

Oh hai semuanya,

hari ini saya balik dengan review palette yang cukup banyak di request untuk direview setelah postingan makeup haul saya yang di sini, yaitu ELF Mad for Matte Eyeshadow Palette.

Sudah setahun belakangan ini, saya enggak terlalu addicted sama eyeshadow palette dan hampir semua eyeshadow palette di meja rias udah dilego di blogsale,hehe. Alasannya sih simple, buat daily saya udah jarang pakai eyeshadow, kecuali warna-warna natural nude yang matte gitu. Nah palette-palette eyeshadow saya yang saya punya kemaren-kemaren biasanya warnanya mix gitu, enggak semua matte. Jadi jarang banget di sentuh, cuma kepake 1-2 warna yang matte aja, jadi bisa dibilang palette-palette saya kemaren cuma jadi pajangan di meja rias. Satu-satunya palette yang sering saya pakai adalah TheBalm Meet Matt(e) nude, tapi palette itu warnanya kurang variatif. Nah karena itu saya kepengen punya 1 palette yang semuanya matte,tapi warnanya yang natural dengan berbagai tone. Plihan saya jatuh ke ELF Mad for Matte atau Morphe 35N. Tapi karena Morphe harganya cukup mahal, saya mutusin buat beli palette ELF ini dulu.

Kalau kalian sering nonton channelnya para beauty youtubers pasti juga sudah cukup sering lihat palette ini, bahkan Kathleen Lights masukin palette ini di list produk favorit dia tahun 2015 kemaren. Palette ini tuh  memang jadi salah satu best seller-nya ELF, soalnya warnanya cantik-cantik banget dan semuanya wearable. Sempat OOS beberapa lama di websitenya ELF, karena emang laris manis. Saya sendiri juga sempat kesulitan cari produk ini, karena setiap mau Pre-order, pasti enggak pernah in-stock barangnya di web. Nah waktu browsing-browsing, kebetulan saya lihat palette ini ready stock di www.belanjamimo.com, akhirnya saya beli d situ dehh. Harganya 175 ribu rupiah. 

Kemasan:

Palette ini dikemas dalam kemasan plastik hitam tipis dan panjang, khas kemasan ELF lain. Di dalamnya sudah ada kaca besar juga. Kemasan palette ini jadi nilai plus buat saya, soalnya kemasannya cukup sleek, kecil, dan compact. Hampir seukuran telapak tangan, jadi kalaupun tiap hari dibawa-bawa di makeup pouch enggak makan tempat dan enggak berat.

Warna:

Palette ini berisi 10 warna natural dengan gradasi dari terang ke gelap. Waktu pertama kali ngebuka palette ini, saya langsung hepi banget lihat warnanya, soalnya saya tau kalo warnanya bakal kepake semua, dari warna terang ke gelap, tone warm dan cool semua ada di palette ini. Dan semua warnanya sangat natural. Dengan warna-warna ini, saya bisa bikin look day to night. Jadi mau bikin look yang super light macam `no makeup` makeup look, ataupun makeup mata yang bold smokey gitu, semua bisa dengan palette ini.

Pigmentasi:

Pertanyaan pertama dari kalian kalo ngelihat eyeshdow palette pasti `pigmented gak ya? warnanya keluar gak ya?` saya jawab iya dan enggak, haha.. soalnya memang pigmentasinya mix. Ada beberapa warna yang pigmented dan buttery banget, ada beberapa warna yang pigmentasinya sheer. Tapi walaupun begitu, semua warnanya bakal muncul kok di kelopak mata. Kalo saya sih enggak masalah sama pigmentasinya, karena saya biasanya selalu memakai eyeshadow primer dulu sebelum mengaplikasikan eyeshadow, jadi warnanya bisa jauh lebih keluar, plus eyeshadow jadi lebih tahan lama.

Tekstur:

Dari segi tekstur, palette ini saya kasih nilai B-, karena teksturnya enggak terlalu buttery dan halus. Teksturnya bisa dibilang tesktur eyeshadow yang kering tapi enggak powdery atau berhamburan gitu, tapi ada beberapa warna sih yang teksturnya mirip TheBalm Meet matt(e) nudes. Walaupun teksturnya enggak terlalu buttery, tapi eyeshadow palette ini sangat blendable, gampang banget di baurkan, dan enggak chalky.

Semenjak punya palette ini sih saya udah gak terlalu kepengen punya Morphe lagi, soalnya warna-warna di palette ini sudah cukup mewakili apa yang saya mau. Walaupun palette ini dari segi tekstur dan pigmentasi kualitasnya enggak yang terlalu wow gimana gitu, cuma saya sangat puas dengan warna-warnanya. Kalau kalian penyuka warna eyeshadow matte dengan warna-warna natural, kalian saya kira pasti bakal suka dengan palette ini, tapi pastikan memakai eyeshadow base dan primer dulu ya di bawahnya, supaya warnanya lebih opaque dan lebih tahan lama.

This eyeshadow comes in a plastic compact with the clear cover so you can easily see what you are picking up. It also comes with dual ended applicator (one side is a sponge applicator and the other is a brush).

COLORS:

Petal Pusher has 8 purply-pink (cool undertones) shades with two columns (left-right) each splitted into browbone, eyelid, crease, and definer

LEFT COLUMN :

Browbone : a light ivory pink with shimmery finish
Eyelid : soft mauve pink with satin finish
Crease : not quite-deep purple with blue undertone-satin finish
Definer: light bluish purple with silver sparkles-glittery finish


RIGHT COLUMN

Browbone : frosty light pink-shimmery finish
Eyelid : plummy purple with golden sparkles-glittery finish
Crease : brownish black with pink sparkles-glittery finish
Definer : black with silver sparkles-glittery finish

TEXTURE, PIGMENTATION & SWATCHES

Mostly, the colors have a good texture, they are less powdery or chalky, smooth enough and easy to blend, esspecially for the darker colors.
 They have mixed quality about pigmentation. I expected this palette have same fabulous results as the WnW comfort zone palette, but it doesn't. i little bit disapointed with some of the colors, they  have sheer pigmention, it doesn't have a good colors payoff. i have to pick-up more the colors to get the opaque color.

But i don't need to dissapointed entirely. the other colors also have a good pigmentation with using eyeshadow base before, the colors will show up quite well and guess what? I found something unique about these lighter colors. it seems like a duochrome eyeshadows. you can see different colors when you are looking from different angle, very pretty natural. you don't need much the colors pay-off but the colors will show very pretty on the eyelid. you can see my swatches bellow :

actually, the IRL colors is more pretty. i wish my camera can capture the colors better.

STAYING POWER
Very Good. i tried this palette without a primer, it last about 4-5 hours. i always recommend to use an eye primer or eyeshadow base before apply your eyeshadow. it will makes your eye makeup much last longer, the colors will show more vibrant too.

Overall,this palette is okay. they don't have awesome quality as the comfort zone palette but this palette is still quite a bargain. If you want to experiment with purples and dramatic colors, this is definitely a good idea. You can create so many different looks with it, from the natural look to sexy purple smoky eyes. see the suggestions how to use the colors on the back of packaging. Just make sure to use a eyeshadow base before you apply this palette.

pros:
- cheap for the amount of product you’re getting
- very easy to buy it
- the colors are super, super pretty. esspecially if you love the eyeshadow which have a duochrome effects
- good staying power

cons:
- not every colors have a good pigmentation
- i think the packaging quite flimsy

Surprisingly awesome! : amuse single eyeshadow square in deep cocoa, turquoise and silver

Just short review to share what  i thought `bout this awesome eyeshadow.Two weeks ago, i ordered some of amuse single eyeshadow and i completely satisfied... yaaaay....This is my first amuse product, and i really-really loveeeeeee this stuff.

i bought only for $0.99 at cherry culture website (its mean less than idr 10k each, but i have to pay extra cost for shipping and tax). altought the packaging are bad (looks so cheapy), but the quality are the best!seriously! i have to say, the pigmentation of quite same like urban decay eyeshadows. I bought 3 from 12 shade they have (most of them are currently out of stock). i bought deep cococa, turquoise, and silver.

what i like?
-quite creamy texture,most feels a little wet when you swatch and apply
-i give A++++ point for the pigmentation, its  amazing! i mean for $0.99 price?? the pigmentation are awesome! look at the picture,

what i dont like?
- the packaging...
- aren't very easy to blend
- poor staying power, with Urban Decay Primer Potion as a primer... it will last all day.

happy weekend  girls... this time i will give you an eyeshadow pallete review.realizing that there are few reviews in my blog since i'm not big fan of eyeshadow.owning 2 or 3 palletes is enough because i use the same color range daily, so there's no reason to keep several palletes :D. it becomes worse to buy another eyeshadow palette,when i just purchased ELF studio 85 pieces complete the look palette. but  i just want  to this one, since watching wing's review from divamakeupqueen on youtube :

there are main reasons why i have to get this pallete. firstly, it's really suitable  on my make-up case to different occasions. secondly, it's great for your create variety look, from sweet daily look, sexy smokey or even dramatic look. its 8 color combination is awesome therefore you can explore the beauty of you.

 pros:
-The colours are very gorgeous, super pigmented and blendable.
-The shadows are labeled for suggested placement of “crease”, “brow bone”, “define”, and “eyelid” so you know exactly which shade goes where.
-The texture shadows are buttery smooth.none are chalky
-I get all day wear without creasing, fading, or fallout.

the only problem that I find with it is that it very fragile, i recieve my palette with cracked on the left definer.
